Teens say the Darndest Things.

So I'm working as an aide at the local High School now, which is... you know, a job. Not the greatest, not the worst, but it will pay the bills and give me a chance to spend more time with my Buddy.

Things students have said to me this week that made me laugh SO HARD on the inside:

  • "I knew you couldn't have a college degree, you are not mean enough!"
  • "I don't need to go to college, when I graduate I'm going to buy a Harley and ride around America."
  • "I'm going to move to Spain when I graduate." (Do you speak Spanish?) "No, I took 4 years of German though so I'm sure I'll be fine."
  • "I skipped class because I wanted to buy my girlfriend a present and I had to get it by 5pm!" (But the class you skipped was at noon) "...I didn't know how long it would take me to shop for her!"
Running detention is going to give me lots of joy, I can tell already. Teens, totally delusional. It's fantastic.
